Governance Opportunity: Calling for Expressions of Interest in joining the REAP Central Plateau Board!

Do you want to play a role in the governance of a long-standing, high-integrity community organisation that services the communities of the Central Plateau?

REAP Central Plateau has a 40-year legacy of supporting the communities within Central Plateau through education and well-being programmes and activities.

Community development is at the heart of all that we do. And we do ALOT – from playgroups to male mentoring; from rangatahi programmes to community education programmes (sign language, te reo and more); from school grants to intensive literacy and numeracy for adult learners.

We are looking for a person who has business experience and is community-minded, to join our governance team. Previous experience in a governance role is essential and you must live within the Central Plateau region to be eligible.

It would be great if you also had one or more of the following: an understanding of issues facing rural communities, and/or an understanding of te reo Maori me ona tikanga, and/or a background in education, health or social services.

If successful, you would be committing to attending a board meeting once every two months and attending other events from time to time. As a not-for-profit our board members are eligible for a nominal meeting fee.
